POSITION SUMMARY

The Slot Attendant is responsible to provide a level of service which is gracious, kind, and warm that creates an exciting environment and World Class Service by delivering Old-World Hospitality and Charm for the casino guests. The Slot Attendant is a key customer service provider on the casino floor. They service and build relationships with the guest, pay hand-pay jackpots, exchange currency, execute player’s club signups and perform minor repairs on slot machines. Ensure compliance with approved procedures for the slot areas in a professional manner. Protect company assets by adhering to company policies and all state and regulatory compliance including Internal Controls, Policies and Procedures, The Responsible Gaming Plan and Title 31.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Be punctual to pre-shift meeting with a positive attitude and openly participate
  • Responsible for guest service with energy and professionalism
  • Responsible for providing Old-World Hospitality with Old-World Charm
  • Required to know and deliver the company core values
  • Required to maintain the electronic components, systems, and peripherals of gaming machines
  • Ensures gaming devices are operating properly
  • Responsible for placing prompt calls for technical or supervisory assistance when necessary
  • Required to actively promote and issue the players’ card and or reprint cards upon request. Meet set goals for players’ card signups
  • Responsible to change ticket paper, write up jackpot forms correctly, be able to read pay table information, and be able to recall vital game histories
  • Handles guest relations and minor guest disputes
  • Responsible for notifying shift supervisor of irregularities in customers’ play
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment
  • Required to enthusiastically support, actively promote, and demonstrate superior customer service in accordance with department and company standards and programs
  • Required to effectively handle customer concerns and requests
  • Request to always maintain complete confidentiality of all company information
  • Performs all job duties in a safe and responsible manner
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by department and/or company management

WORKING CONDITIONS

Must have ability to:

  • Must be able to sit / stand / walk for long periods of time
  • Must be able to use an “in ear” communication device for radio communications
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced Casino Environment:
    • Low Lighting
    • Noise / loud music
    • Multiple distractions while multi-tasking
  • Must be able to work all shifts including holidays, nights, weekend hours
  • Must be physically mobile with the ability to move around all work areas effectively and efficiently with reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to push, pull, carry, and lift up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to push, pull, reach, bend, twist, stoop, stack, crouch, kneel and balance when performing job duties in varying work areas such as confined spaces or crowded conditions
  • Must be able to clean and sanitize all gaming equipment on the Slot floor
  • Must provide a clean gaming area for both our internal and external guests

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

The Slot Attendant must be a minimum of 18 years of age. Possess professionalism and ability to handle high levels of stress. Must be flexible with all different schedules. This position spends majority of the shift on the casino floor and is subject to varying levels of crowds and noise levels the severity of which depends upon customer volume. Ability to read, analyze, interpret, and comprehend technical procedures, government regulations, instructions, and correspondence/memos.

COMPLIANCE RESPONSIBILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
  • Obtain required license(s)
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
  • Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department
  • Knowledge of the property’s programs to address problem gambling
  • Consult with the appropriate individuals and maintain an effective system of written policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance with gaming regulations and Internal Controls
  • Responsible for taking the appropriate steps to investigate exceptions, fraud, and potential violations and report such instances to the appropriate levels of management
  • Reports any acts of wrongdoing on behalf of any Team Member that they have knowledge of
