JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for washing, drying and storage of hotel and banquet linens.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this class and are not all- inclusive:

 

  • Responsible for daily washing and drying of hotel and banquet linens
  • Ironing and steaming of items may be required
  • Responsible for neatly fold laundry and distribute it according to company requirements
  • Conduct general maintenance and upkeep of the machines, which includes cleaning machine filters
  • Maintain safe working area by sweeping and mopping floors periodically
  • Coordinate duties with other hotel staff

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

In addition to the other duties described herein, every Team Member has the following responsibilities related to compliance with laws and regulations:

 

  • Attend required training sessions offered by the casino
  • Obtain required licenses
  • Perform the duties described in compliance with local laws and regulations
  • Responsible for taking the necessary steps to ensure minors are not allowed to gamble or loiter in gambling areas, drink alcoholic beverages, or purchase tobacco
  • Knowledge of the ordinances, regulations, laws, policies, and procedures relating to the Team Member’s department
  • Adhere to Internal Control Procedures and Policies

Report illegal activity to Security or the appropriate levels of Management

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Must have ability to:

 

  • Communicate effectively with all levels of Team Members, guests, and outside contacts
  • Work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Move around all work areas effectively and efficiently
  • Work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Required to stand for an extended time

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Attendants must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. of laundry and push heavy carts without assistance. Ability to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel and crouch. Able to read and write and understand the English language. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
