POSITION SUMMARY

Labor relations/Union experience preferred. Under the direction of the Human Resources Manager, provide support to the daily operations of del Lago Resort Casino for the Human Resources Department. Human Resources Business Partners are responsible for performing HR related duties at a professional level and works closely with Management. The HRBP is responsible for aligning business objectives with team members and management in designated business units to promote equity, fair treatment, and positive Team Member relations. 

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

The following statements are intended as general illustrations of the work in this job class and are not all inclusive.

  • Ambassador of del Lago Resort Casino’s Vision, Values and Mission.
  • Provide support to the daily operations of the HR Department.
  • Interprets, administers, updates, and communicates personnel policies and procedures.
  • Supports the HR Manager in investigations and documentation of team member complaints and grievances to ensure compliance and fair resolution.
  • Assists the Human Resources Department in providing training to leaders in the areas of corrective action, documentation, evaluations, privacy, workplace safety, harassment, discrimination, and workplace violence.
  • Provide counseling to management staff with respect to Company policies and practices, as well as government regulations.
  • Ensures compliance with Federal and State employment laws, gaming regulations, union contract and compliance requirements.
  • Lead and assist on Special Projects, including training, Team Member activities etc.
  • Serves as a liaison and provides team member relations advice and counseling to management and team members.
  • Coaches, mentors, advocates for the team member as well as the company and is a hospitality champion.
  • Collaborates and contributes to team member engagement and recognition programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Working knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, federal and state employment laws, employee and union relations, etc.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies
  • Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the related administrative practices
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software

  • The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
