JOB SUMMARY
Position Summary
It is the responsibility of the Surveillance Observer to protect the integrity of all table games, slots, count rooms, cage, cashiers, and other related areas. Video records and documents all irregularities or deviations from normal activities and alerts the Surveillance Supervisor or Surveillance Director when any irregularities or deviations occur. Performs all duties in accordance with Riverwalk departmental policies and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Include, but are not limited to:
- Willing to work during staff shortage
- Arrive sufficiently early for briefing.
- Check equipment functions on a regular basis.
- Maintain daily shift log.
- Notify supervisor of suspicious activity or procedure violations.
- Observe all areas of casino, hotel and public areas for procedural infractions and criminal activity.
- Knows all gaming procedures, slot, etc.
- Detect, document and video suspect activities within the casino, casino cage, slots, and count room areas.
- Correctly check video functions.
- Maintain cleanliness of room and equipment.
- Maintain familiarity with Mississippi Gaming Commission rules and regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Perform close watch as assigned.
- Handle other duties as required.
- Maintain a low profile in all areas of the casino.
- Avoid over-familiarity with casino personnel.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Qualifications

- Must have the ability to obtain a Work Permit issued by the Mississippi Gaming Commission.
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Employee must be able to work any day of the week and any shift.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or equivalent. Casino Surveillance experience preferred with knowledge of CCTV systems.
