JOB SUMMARY
Serves as liaison to the Regional Director of Compliance and the Mississippi Gaming Commission. Maintains control of all activities pertaining to the guidelines set forth in the State’s gaming regulations; ensures compliance with existing internal control policies and procedures; maintains the necessary internal controls required to safeguard the property’s assets and integrity under the direction of the Regional Director of Compliance. This position requires traveling to and from Greenville, MS.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Include, but are not limited to:
- Serves under the direction of the Regional Director of Compliance.
- Ensures that all compliance issues are addressed according to the gaming regulations.
- Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the MGC, internal controls, policies, procedures, and ensures strict adherence to same throughout all departmental operations.
- Directs the flow of all confidential reports and documents to the proper individuals within the organization, always maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
- Serves as the point of contact to the Regional Director of Compliance and other department heads concerning changes to regulations and statutes.
- Maintains the strictest confidence with the departments concerning all correspondence, audit reviews, etc. within the Compliance Department.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Technical abilities demonstrated:
- Accounting matters
- Data Processing/spreadsheet & database systems.
- Understanding of internal audit function.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Maintaining interpersonal professional working relationships with Company management and personnel, which encourage openness and trust.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Minimum of three to five years’ experience in Compliance or equivalent education and experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service.
