JOB SUMMARY
The Housekeeping Supervisor is responsible for all aspects related to hotel housekeeping and the laundry room. Supervises a team to ensure all daily activities are planned and executed so that we exceed guests’ expectations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

-Coordinates all daily activities and plans for sufficient staffing to clean guest rooms and the laundry area
-Creates room assignments for guest room attendants
-Responsible for daily inspections of rooms
-Inspects hotel public areas daily for quality assurance
-Prepares the department’s weekly schedule in conjunction with weekly rooms forecast
-Regularly takes inventory of cleaning supplies and hotel amenities
-Informs leadership of needed supplies and assists with ordering
-Assist with interviews, hires and trains team members; schedules and motivates team members; plans, assigns and directs work; appraises performance; rewards team members; addresses complaints and resolves problems
-Performs various cleaning duties in instances of staff shortages
-Ensures completion of inspection sheets for all check outs
-Handles all inquiries regarding Lost and Found
-Respond to customer complaints and queries on a timely basis
-Ensure all rules are being followed properly
-Assist with enforcement of key issuance procedure established by the hotel
-Report room discrepancies to Front Desk
-Performs any other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE
-Ability to maintain high energy level in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
-Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with both guests and co-workers
-Must have basic math skills
-Prior computer experience with Microsoft office programs and email
-Ability to create a positive and upbeat work environment
-Availability to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
-This position is responsible for ensuring that all hotel rooms are cleaned and prepared for our guest’s experience at the property. Rooms are assigned and it is the responsibility of the team member to ensure that all cleaning and organizing of the rooms are completed as assigned, prior to guests entering their hotel rooms.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Previous housekeeping experience preferred. One year of previous supervisory experience required.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES
Must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate applicable licensing.
