Title:  Event Security On Call

JOB SUMMARY

Event Security responsible for maintaining crowd and access control, which includes assisting guests and team members as needed to maintain order and provide a safe and secure environment in which guests can enjoy events. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain order on Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Sioux City property, including, but not limited to, the entertainment venue(s)during scheduled shift.
• Assist in emergent situations with guests and team members.
• Check identification of those who appear to be under 30 years of age.
• Observe rules of the road in accordance with all state and local laws
• Enforce safety rules and regulations
• Observe and report unusual conditions, operations, and safety hazards.
• Knowledge of the property to effectively communicate amenities to guests.
• Resolve customer requests, questions, and complaints.
• Lift, carry, and/or remove barricades to restrict or open access.
• Actively look for ways to assist guests.
• Perform other related duties as may be assigned.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented and thorough with strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Must obtain valid gaming license, where applicable

• The employee is required to stand for the duration of the shift.

• The employee may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
• The employee may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
• The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, depending on the assigned station and customer volume.
