In this new role as our Human Resources Manager, you’ll be the strategic partner and go-to expert for all things HR across our exciting Salem gaming properties. This includes driving culture, supporting leaders, energizing employees, and ensuring compliance with gaming and employment regulations. From hiring and onboarding to employee engagement and performance management, you’ll have your hands in every aspect of the employee experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage key HR functions, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, payroll, and employee records.
- Partner with People Leaders to manage full-cycle recruitment, ensuring timely hiring of qualified candidates.
- Partner with People Leaders to create and execute impactful employee engagement initiatives.
- Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to enhance new hire integration and Team Member retention.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and local employment laws and gaming regulations, maintaining, updating, and communicating HR policies and procedures.
- Plan and organize workloads and staff assignments along with training, motivating, and evaluating assigned staff.
- Oversee administrative processes, such as budget and staffing, to ensure proper planning and efficient operation of the Human Resources department.
- Maintain data within Human Resource Information System including employee records of pay, benefits, accidents, performance, etc.
- Analyze HR metrics, reporting, and procedures to capture trends and recommend solutions to support organizational change, employee performance and workplace satisfaction.
- Develop, implement, and facilitate training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of Team Members.
- Administer and manage all requested leaves to include FMLA, workers compensation, short- and long-term disability and personal.
- Conduct effective investigations regarding complaints and concerns brought forth by employees and management, providing recommendations for next steps and escalating to Corporate HR as appropriate.
- Develop, maintain, and provide guidance to employees on HR-related policies and procedures, acting as a liaison between team members and management on employment and HR issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong knowledge of multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation practices, federal and state employment laws, employee and union relations, etc.
- Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
- Ability to acquire a thorough understanding of the organization's hierarchy, jobs, qualifications, compensation practices, and the related administrative practices.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- HR Professional certification (i.e., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, etc.) preferred.
- Two plus years of human resources leadership experience.
- Ability to obtain and maintain valid gaming license, where applicable.

- The employee will be required to sit for extended periods of time.

- The employee may be asked to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs.
- The employee may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
- The employee may be exposed to smoke when on the floor of the gaming room.
