JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for use of cash registers and related equipment to conduct monetary transactions with guests. Greets guests warmly, providing attentive service, and addressing inquiries or complaints.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Greeting guests on arrival and regards on departure in a warm and inviting manner and addressing inquiries or complaints professionally.
- Ensures adequate supplies are readily available at the register, such as register tape, etc. for the shift.
- Will operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process sales transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Sells all food items on the menu and handles all monetary transactions, such as cash, credit/debit cards, and comps from guests as payment.
- Ensures accuracy in computing bill on cash register; makes correct change and issues receipt.
- Blind drops are done, no counting down drawer.
- Promoting loyalty programs, ongoing promotions, or venue offers to enhance guest engagement.
- Responsible for restocking shelves, organizing work area, and keeping the workstation area clean and orderly.
- Returns cash to the main bank, leaves a copy of shift checkout in the Restaurant Mailbox.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of daily menus and prices.
- Ensures and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of workstation.
- Following safety, security, and company policies related to cash handling and guest interactions.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under stress in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong and accurate money handling skills.
- Proficiency with POS systems.
- Strong communication and guest service skills to interact efficiently with guests.
- Basic knowledge of menu items and guest service.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One (1) to three (3) months experience in food & beverage or related field.
- Other combinations of education and experience may be considered.
- Must obtain and maintain ServSafe certificate.
- Must obtain and maintain a valid racing license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- The Team Member will be required to stand for the duration of the shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is frequently required to sit or stand; walk; use hands to finger reach, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.
- The Team Member may be required to lift up to 50 pounds.
- The Team Member may be required to work long hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
- The work environment may vary in levels of crowds, noise, and exposure to secondhand smoke, depending on the assigned station and guest volume.
