Position Summary

Performs work involving two or more maintenance skills to keep machines, mechanical equipment, or structure of the casino in repair. Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free environment within the property.

Job Qualification Statement

The successful candidate will have experience in two or more of the following skills: insulating, welding, machine and equipment repairing, carpentry and electrical work. Experience may also include planning and laying out of work relating to repairs; repairing electrical and/or mechanical equipment: installing, aligning, and balancing new equipment and repairing buildings, floors, or stairs.  The successful individual will possess the following traits:  Teamwork, Attention to Detail, and excellent Interactive Skills.

Essential Job Functions

  1. Inspects and tests machinery and equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions.
  2. Dismantles and reassembles defective machines and equipment.
  3. Installs new or repaired parts.
  4. Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.
  5. Installs and/or repairs wiring and electrical and electronic components.
  6. Installs machinery and equipment.
  7. Assembles, installs, and/or repairs plumbing.
  8. Paints and repairs woodwork and plaster.
  9. Fabricates and repairs counters, partitions, and other wooden structures, such as sheds and outbuildings.
  10. Records repairs made and costs.
  11. Performs other jobs assigned as directed by management.

Physical Demands and Work Environment
The work requires considerable and strenuous physical exertion, such as frequent climbing of tall ladders, lifting heavy objects over 50 pounds, crouching, or crawling in restricted areas. May need to exert more than 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or more than 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or more than 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. At other times, the work requires some physical exertion, such as reaching, standing, walking, pushing, and pulling. The work involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, such as, working around moving parts, carts, or machines, or with contagious diseases or irritant chemicals.  Employees may be required to use protective clothing or gear, such as, masks, gowns, coats, boots, goggles, gloves, or shields.
