JOB SUMMARY

To organize and properly prepare trays of food from the kitchen service line for server staff in Oxford Grill area. Responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness of guest service in the Oxford Grill dining room. Greets and seats guests for food and beverage service, maintains the seating flow and service of the dining room. Is warm and inviting to guests on arrival and departure to the Oxford Grill. Responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness of guest service in the food outlet.  Gives direction to guests or attendees in this outlet as necessary. Shows dignity, kindness and respect to guests and team members.  Involved in setting up, maintaining, and working a shift or shifts in a dining room.  Adherence to company standards and directives. Responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness of guest service in the food outlet by providing an adequate supply of clean tables and beverage service.  Gives direction to guests or attendees in this outlet as needed. Shows dignity, kindness and respect to guests and team members .  Involved in setting up, maintaining, and working a shift or shifts in a dining room area.   Adherence to company standards and directives.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Interpret food orders coming through kitchen printer from dining room

Organize orders for service

Prepares food trays from completed kitchen line items and organize on trays for service staff to serve

Prepares and serve appropriate side sauces with kitchen items

Keeps station and kitchen service area neat and organized

Keeps beverage service and food service trays neat, clean and organized

Maintains strict quality control on all food being served

Food is at proper temperature

Food is well presented

Proper accompaniments are in place with meals

Maintains server drop off and pick up areas of kitchen to make sure they are clean and functional. These areas include:

Wine/beer service areas

Dishwasher station

Expo Station

Server Salad Station

Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures, SOPs.

Show great teamwork with all.

Assists in the deliverance and dispensing of items ordered by guests service orders; beverages and food.

Uses equipment such as coffee and iced tea makers and soda, juice, and milk dispensers.

Is a role model for the company and responds to questions positively.

Must be detail oriented and ensure that all items are correct, perhaps hundreds of times over, in the food outlet(s).

Work with communication devices such as telephones, bulletin boards, and pagers.

Must speak with guests to maintain great guest relations and provides opportunities for loyalty to occur.

Push carts of dishes approximately 100 feet; stock plates, glasses, cups, and needed products.

Maintains confidentiality and security of relevant information.

Maintains an awareness of applicable laws and operates within those guidelines

Greets on arrival and regards on departure to Guests visiting the Oxford Grill dining room in a warm and inviting manner.

Is able to work in a fast paced, stressful environment while being calm, collected and accurate with attention to detail.

Adheres to all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Greet internal and external guests in a warm tone and smile, with eye contact. Present and maintain a professional appearance and attitude.

Work safely, with sanitation, efficiency, and with guest’s loyalty in mind.

Is a role model for the company and responds to questions positively.

Must be detail oriented and ensure that all items are correct, perhaps hundreds of times over.

Ensures and maintains cleanliness and orderliness of the host podium and ensures the dining room floor is presentable at all times.

Maintains confidentiality and security of relevant information.

Works with communication devices such as telephones, two-way radio, guest paging system, and both computerized and manual table management system.

Interacts and speaks with guests to maintain great guest relations and provide opportunities for loyalty to occur.

Demonstrated record of successful interpersonal skills in regard to working with diverse  people and levels of authority.

Must be able to work any shift needed and is a minimum of 18 years of age (if under 21, able to secure a gaming permit from the State of Maine until 21st birthday)

Must attain a TIPS certification according to Casino and State guidelines.

Multi-task ability and able to complete all tasks with minimal supervision and show a sense of urgency no matter what the business volume.

Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively. Shows dignity, kindness and respect to guests and Team Members.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. At other times, the work requires some physical exertion, such as reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Required prolonged standing and walking with mobility. Bending and reaching from a level height to 6 feet. Ability to lift, carry, and push and pull items with no hindrance.  Normal hearing, vision, and hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
