JOB SUMMARY

Step into the action with a leadership role at Owensboro Racing & Gaming! We’re looking for an energetic, service-driven Gaming Shift Supervisor to help keep our gaming floor running like a well-shuffled deck. In this dynamic role, you’ll lead the charge during your assigned shift—coordinating team members, ensuring games run smoothly and fairly, and delivering unforgettable guest experiences.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Supervise and coordinate all gaming activities and floor staff during assigned shifts.

  • Ensure games operate in compliance with state/local regulations and internal policies.

  • Provide and model excellent customer service to all guests.

  • Resolve patron concerns or disputes professionally and escalate as needed.

  • Monitor table games, electronic games, and equipment for proper function and compliance.

  • Conduct walk-throughs to ensure the floor is clean, safe, and fully operational.

  • Train, coach, and evaluate team members to meet performance and compliance expectations.

  • Protect the integrity of gaming operations—ensuring fair and transparent play.

  • Complete and review daily shift reports including table performance, staff activity, and revenue summaries.

  • Oversee financial operations related to payouts, transactions, and shift accountability.

  • Work in close coordination with Security and Surveillance to maintain a secure environment.

  • Support and enforce emergency protocols and safety procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong leadership and team coordination skills.

  • Excellent interpersonal and guest service skills.

  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-focused in fast-paced or high-pressure situations.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Working knowledge of gaming operations, floor procedures, and relevant regulations.

  • Sound judgment and ability to handle sensitive situations discreetly.

  • Basic computer proficiency and experience with gaming floor management systems.

  • This job requires you to be 21 years of age or Older.  

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, hospitality, or related field preferred.

  • Previous experience in a gaming or casino environment is required.

  • Prior supervisory experience is highly preferred.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to stand, walk, sit, hear, talk, and use hands 51–100% of the time.

  • Must be able to balance, climb, bend, stoop, kneel, reach overhead 25–50% of the time.

  • May be required to crawl 1–24% of the time.

  • Ability to push/pull, carry, lift, or move objects up to 50 lbs 25–50% of the time.

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
