JOB SUMMARY
The Cage Shift Supervisor is responsible for monitoring and verifying all cash transactions within the facility, ensuring strict compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures. This role supervises cage personnel, delivers outstanding customer service, and ensures the smooth operation of cage activities in a high-volume gaming environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitor and verify all cash handling procedures and transactions across departments.

Supervise, train, and assign duties to cage personnel.

Deliver exceptional customer service to guests and internal staff.

Maintain a professional and collaborative work environment.

Perform cage cashier duties when needed.

Enforce compliance with Title 31 regulations and internal control policies.

Assist with departmental functions such as Drop/Soft Count and Mutuels.

Open and close cage as needed, maintaining flexibility in scheduling.

Maintain accurate transaction records and handle large sums of money securely.

Operate equipment, computers, and cash-handling systems.

Build guest loyalty through personal, friendly, and professional interactions.

Mediate and resolve customer or employee disputes professionally.

Exhibit knowledge of ATM and kiosk operations and paper flow across departments.

Uphold safety and health regulations.

Maintain punctuality and adaptability to various shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Proficiency in money handling, cash reconciliation, and mathematical accuracy.

Knowledge of cage operations in a gaming or similar high-volume environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience involving cash handling.

Prior gaming industry experience is preferred.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

Must be able to work in a casino environment with exposure to gaming-related noise and activity.

Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand motions (e.g., counting cash).

Able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Must be able to perform tasks under pressure in a busy work environment.
