JOB SUMMARY

Are you a natural leader who thrives in a fast-paced, exciting environment? As the Gaming Operations Manager at Owensboro Racing and Gaming, you’ll be at the center of all the action on our Gaming Floor! You’ll lead a team of talented professionals, ensuring every guest enjoys a fun, seamless experience while keeping our operations running like a well-oiled machine. From coaching your team to managing gaming devices, you’ll make key decisions that drive guest satisfaction and operational success. This role is perfect for someone who loves a lively, dynamic environment and wants to make a real impact on our gaming experience.  This position is for a third shift Gaming Operations Manager with Owensboro Racing and Gaming. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following duties give a snapshot of what you’ll do — but no two days are the same!

  • Lead and inspire your Gaming Operations team through coaching, training, and performance management.

  • Monitor gaming device performance and oversee installations, conversions, moves, and upgrades to keep the gaming floor buzzing.

  • Partner with corporate Gaming Operations to ensure devices and systems are running perfectly.

  • Maintain confidentiality of all gaming data, revenue, and company-sensitive information.

  • Prepare and manage departmental budgets, forecast expenses, and track variances to keep operations profitable.

  • Ensure compliance with Owensboro Racing and Gaming policies, internal controls, KHRC regulations, and other governing rules.

  • Build strong relationships with guests and team members by fostering a collaborative, service-first culture.

  • Jump in wherever needed — your hands-on leadership keeps the floor moving smoothly!

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

Familiarity with the OASIS 360 Gaming Device Tracking System is preferred.

Knowledge of gaming networks, systems, and device operations.

Must obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky Gaming/Racing License and Race and Sportsbook Employee License.

You must be 21 years of age or older to apply.

This is a 3rd shift position

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, or related field or 5+ years of relevant management experience.

  • Deep understanding of the mechanical and play functions of gaming devices.

  • Experience in gaming device operations, maintenance, and reporting systems.

  • General knowledge of gaming regulations, including Cage and Players Club operations.

  • Previous leadership experience in gaming, hospitality, or entertainment preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Must be able to stand, sit, walk, talk, and use hands repetitively for long periods (51–100% of the time).

  • Occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. (1–24% of the time).

  • Occasionally climb, bend, stoop, kneel, or reach overhead.

  • Up to 25% travel may be required.

  • Work areas may include smoking sections.

  • Noise levels range from moderate to loud.

  • This is a 3rd shift position.
