JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Marketing Manager, Shared Services is responsible for leading marketing execution and shared services support for Owensboro Racing & Gaming and Ellis Park Racing & Gaming. This role translates enterprise and property marketing strategies into cohesive, high-impact execution across both properties while ensuring brand consistency, operational efficiency, and financial discipline.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this position provides direct leadership to property-level marketing leaders and coordinators and serves as a key connector between shared services, external agencies, and internal stakeholders. The Senior Marketing Manager plays a critical role in aligning advertising, promotions, and creative execution to drive visitation, engagement, revenue growth, and a consistent guest experience across both properties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Execute integrated marketing plans supporting gaming, racing, promotions, entertainment, and community initiatives across both properties.
Translate strategic direction from the Senior Director of Marketing into actionable plans for property teams.
Ensure consistent brand standards, messaging, and creative execution across Owensboro Racing & Gaming and Ellis Park Racing & Gaming.
Oversee development, production, and deployment of marketing collateral and advertising assets.
Manage relationships with external advertising agencies, media partners, and vendors.
Coordinate media planning in alignment with approved budgets and timelines.
Review and route advertising materials for required approvals prior to release.
Monitor campaign performance and recommend optimization strategies.
Provide leadership and direction to Promotions Coordinators to ensure promotional calendars are executed accurately, on time, and in compliance with regulatory standards.
Partner with property leaders to align marketing execution with operational priorities and guest experience.
Support live racing marketing initiatives at Ellis Park in collaboration with Racing Operations.
Support development and management of marketing budgets across both properties, including monitoring expenses, analyzing variances, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
Evaluate campaign ROI and performance metrics to inform future planning.
Lead, coach, and develop marketing leaders and coordinators across both properties.
Establish clear priorities, expectations, and accountability for shared services and property teams.
Foster collaboration, cross-property alignment, and a service-oriented culture.
Serve as a role model for professionalism, adaptability, and operational excellence.
Act as a key liaison between property marketing teams, shared services, and internal departments.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and brand standards.
Maintain working knowledge of gaming and racing regulations impacting marketing and promotions.
Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor’s degree in marketing or a similar discipline.

5+ years of progressive marketing experience, preferably within gaming, racing, hospitality, or entertainment.

Prior experience leading teams or managing marketing operations across multiple locations preferred.

Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license as required by the Kentucky Horse Racing & Gaming Commission.
