Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.
JOB SUMMARY
The Surveillance Technician plays a key role in ensuring the integrity, performance, and reliability of the Property’s surveillance and access control infrastructure. This position is responsible for assisting in the installation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise-level video surveillance systems, electronic access controls, and related technologies. The role requires strong collaboration with internal departments, external vendors, and a deep understanding of physical security systems to maintain a secure and compliant environment. #OakGrove
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in the day-to-day operation of CCTV and access control systems across the facility.
- Install, configure, and monitor IP-based surveillance cameras, NVRs, door hardware (maglocks, strikes, card readers), and associated systems.
- Maintain up-to-date system maps, equipment logs, and inventory.
- Support expansion and upgrade projects involving surveillance or access control systems.
- Coordinate with IT and Facilities for infrastructure readiness and technical support.
- Perform preventive maintenance and regular system health checks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve outages, performance issues, or connectivity problems.
- Assist in managing vendor relationships, service contracts, and technical support escalations.
- Provide video footage or access logs to support investigations and compliance audits.
- Support firmware updates, system backups, and disaster recovery planning.
- Stay informed on security technology trends and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
- Experience with enterprise surveillance and/or access control systems.
- Familiarity with electronic door hardware and low-voltage standards.
- Basic understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, PoE, VLANs, VPNs).
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
Preferred:
- 1–2+ years of hands-on experience with access control systems.
- Background with card readers, biometric systems, and door controllers.
- Experience working in high-security environments (gaming, government, etc.).
- Ability to integrate and troubleshoot physical security systems.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- Ability to lift, install, and maintain equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in enclosed technical spaces (e.g., server rooms, network closets).
- Must be able to work at heights using ladders or boom lifts.
- Occasional availability required outside standard business hours to address urgent issues.
