Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell.  The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

The Facilities Supervisor will supervise, coordinate and assist the work of the maintenance and EVS Team Members in the maintenance, repair and cleaning of the facilities building, systems and grounds.  The Facilities Supervisor must have knowledge in and be able to complete tasks in: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems and controls, carpentry and finish skills, energy conservation, and/or general building maintenance and EVS cleaning duties. #OakGrove

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work with Director and Manager of Facilities in coordinating projects and scheduling work.
  • Prepare weekly team member schedules and allocate work as per forecasted workloads.
  • Schedule and when needed personally perform preventive maintenance and repair duties on all building mechanical systems, equipment, and tools.  Ensure work is completed on time.
  • Assign janitorial duties to staff and regularly inspect their work to ensure that established standards are met.
  • Schedule and when needed, personally perform Facilities cleaning; gaming floor, banquet hall, conference rooms, and floor cleaning and waxing.  This includes all facilities on site: RV Park, Amphitheater, Equestrian Center, Maintenance Building, ONS and RDS.
  • Ensure all inventory, supplies, and equipment are maintained and properly stored.
  • Develop cost estimates for requested projects.
  • Schedule and follow up on all maintenance and EVS issues whether with outside vendors or with inside staff utilizing a computerized maintenance management program.
  • Responsible for compliance with applicable codes and inspection and reporting of deficiencies throughout the property.
  • Effectively report and correct unsafe work practices or unsafe property conditions.
  • Design and implement cost-effective equipment modifications and process changes to help improve safety and reliability.
  • Communicate with guests/customers to resolve facilities issues.
  • Participate in interviews and hiring of new facilities maintenance and EVS Team Members. 
  • Complete timely performance evaluations for subordinates.
  • Coordinate formal and informal training for subordinates.
  • Conduct formal and informal coaching and counseling with subordinates.
  • Able to read and evaluate blueprints.
  • Prepare for and conduct pre-shift huddles
  • Participate regularly on squads and management team huddles.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience required.  Trade school training preferred.
  • Required 2 years supervisory experience.
  • Required 5 years of experience as an electrician, plumber, HVAC mechanic, ground support, welder, and machinist or EVS position.
  • Must possess proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Work, Excel).
  • Must have a Valid Driver’s License.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
