Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a new facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell.  The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

 

FUNCTION

The Security Shift Supervisor will be responsible for the efficient operation of the Security Department on assigned shift, in accordance with the company’s established policies, procedures and controls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests. Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
  • Assist in recruitment process including job posting and recruiting metrics.
  • Delegates duties and assign responsibilities to staff.
  • Completes and processes performance reviews.
  • Assist in development of Team Members, conducts interviews, and participates in the selection, hiring, coaching, retention and termination process.
  • Investigate incidents and/or guest complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting.
  • Schedule rotation of officers throughout officer posts.
  • Conduct training with officers.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift.
  • May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that require a valid Driver’s License.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing security operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Security department.
  • Advanced customer service and problem-solving skills. 
  • Interact with local law enforcement agencies as required.
  • Knowledge of local jurisdiction gaming laws (federal, state, etc.) and regulations as well as company internal controls, policies and procedure.
  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • 1-3 years of experience as a security officer/law enforcement officer. Prior Hotel/Casino Security is a plus.
  • 2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
