Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell.  The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

 Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel is a new facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell.  The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

The Room Inspector oversees housekeeping staff, such as making room assignments, directing housekeeping staff’s performance, and evaluating housekeepers’ performance.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Open the housekeeping office daily, create room assignments if required
  • Inspects hotel rooms after being cleaned by room attendants to ensure they meet the established standards
  • Train new hires to meet cleanliness expectations
  • Handle lost and found inquiries
  • Effectively communicate with Front Desk and Housekeeping staff members
  • Oversee housekeeping staff, such as making room assignments, directing housekeeping staff’s performance, and evaluating housekeepers’ performance
  • Recommends counseling and potential disciplinary action for housekeeping personnel
  • Submit facility work orders for needed repairs
  • Assist housekeepers if short-handed
  • Assist in cleaning rooms if short-handed
  • Promotes outstanding customer relations
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all Team Members and the public.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position
  • Must be detail oriented, have a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and be customer-focused
  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous housekeeping experience preferred. Must be able to multi-task and take direction.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
