Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell.  The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a new facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell.  The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

 

FUNCTION

The Stable Laborer is responsible for cleaning and maintaining barn stalls, shed rows and grounds. Candidate will also assist in the day to day operation of the Racing Office and paddock during racing season. When requested, assist in the processing of stable applications and allotting stalls to horsemen.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for cleaning and maintaining barn stalls.
  • Responsible for Grounds upkeep including but not limited to general landscaping (grass cutting, weed eating)
  • Responsible for guest service, relations to assure that our guests have a favorable experience.
  • Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests. Facilitates, processes and programs to effectively control and reduce loss time injuries.
  • Report maintenance that needs to be done to physical structures (for example, stalls, stall doors, etc.)
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent. Prior experience is preferred. 
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
