Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.
JOB SUMMARY
The HR Business Partner administers various Human Resources plans, programs, policies and procedures for all company personnel. Assists in the development and implementation of HR functions including hiring, benefits, training, on-boarding, licensing, employee relations, personnel policies and procedures, and payroll.

• Manages the day-to-day human resources operations of assigned area(s)
• Works as part of the HR Team to ensure excellence in service to our Team Members.
• Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals.
• Recommends new approaches, ideas and procedures to effect continual improvements in the efficiency of the HR department and the services performed.
• Identifies, develops, and Coordinates training and development sessions with strong presentation skills.
• Coordinates and executes new hires orientation.
• Participates in developing department goals and objectives.
• May manage recruitment and selection processes including job postings, selection technology and recruiting metrics.
• Understands and can facilitate the on-boarding process including data entry, collection of paperwork, opening personnel files, scheduling orientations, etc.
• Provides support to support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves, payroll, policies, and procedures. Resolves any issues that may arise.
• Provides counsel and support to managers and supervisors in resolving personnel issues, program development/implementation, etc.
• Administers engagement surveys
• Implements retention and succession planning efforts
• Completes termination process including exit interviews
• Develops and maintains records, reports, and logs for various HR functions.
• May assist with employee relations, recognition programs, and Team Member Events.
• Participates in HR staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars as directed.
• Maintains Human Resource Information System records and compiles reports from database.
• Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.
• Assists with unemployment claims
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
- Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all Team Members and the public.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the position
- Must be detail oriented, have a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and be customer-focused
- Experience using technology for HR and/or recruiting systems
- Experience in HR policies and procedures
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree and two years of Human Resources experience or a master’s degree in Human Resources Management with one year of experience in the HR field; or five years of experience in the HR or related field or a combination of education and experience preferred.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky racing license
