Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.
JOB SUMMARY
The HR Generalist administers various Human Resources plans, programs, policies and procedures for all company personnel. Assists in the development and implementation of HR functions including hiring, benefits, training, on-boarding, licensing, employee relations, personnel policies/procedures, and payroll.

Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a gaming facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell. The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works as part of the HR Team to ensure excellence in service to our Team Members.
- Partner with department managers and HR Business Partners to recruit, interview, and onboard qualified job applicants for open positions.
- Responsible for administering the Company leave programs and providing clear guidance to Team Members and Manager on their leave status, benefits, and return to work.
- Responsible for handling internal team member communications such as promotional announcements, internal job opportunities, volunteer opportunities, benefit/leaves, etc.
- Assist HR team in the on-boarding process, including data entry, team member documentation and personnel files.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel files, ensuring documentation is complete and comply with established policies and procedures.
- Facilitate New Hire Orientation and other property training, as necessary.
- Assist with responding to employment-related inquiries from applicants, Team Members, and department leaders, escalating complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Assist with Team Member uniform operations, including fittings, distribution, and organization.
- Assist with the execution of team member engagement initiatives and sending and reporting onboarding survey data to property leaders
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policy.
- Stay current on HR trends, employment legislation, best practices, , and new technologies within the department.
- Perform other related duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
- Maintain interpersonal working relationships among all Team Members and the public.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Must be detail oriented, have a professional attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and be customer-focused
- Ability to facilitate training and speak in front of groups.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Working knowledge of human resource principles, practices, and procedures.
- Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, nights and work part of an HR rotation, which includes morning and mid shifts and includes a weekend rotation.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field, one to three years of experience in the HR field, or any similar combination of education and experience is preferred
- One (1) year of training facilitation/creation experience preferred
- Prior experience handling Family Medical Leave and ADA leave strongly preferred
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
