Oak Grove: Oak Grove Racing, Gaming & Hotel (the “Property”) is a newer facility in a high traffic area in the heart of Oak Grove, Kentucky, and across the street from a large Army post, Ft. Campbell.  The Property is 10 miles from Clarksville, TN and less than 60 miles northwest of downtown Nashville, TN.

JOB SUMMARY

The Bartender is responsible for providing the patrons with excellent service in a timely manner, assisting the beverage servers with orders to ensure quality guest service, and providing patrons with a favorable gaming experience. #OakGrove

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares drinks correctly at the bar for patrons and for cocktail staff.
  • Assisting with the cleaning of the bar area and assisting with inventory maintenance.     
  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and guests                                                   .
  • Responsible for performing “responsible alcohol service” with regard to patron limitations and passing any/all responsible alcohol service training.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Demonstrated record of successful interpersonal skills in regard to working with diverse people and levels of authority.
  • Multi-task ability and able to complete all tasks with minimal supervision and show a sense of urgency, no matter what the business volume.
  • Ability to cash-handle correctly.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and body language.
  • This position requires sufficient experience, education, and job knowledge to meet current business needs.
  • Maintaining the accuracy of supplies, verification of quantities, and tracking backorders.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel
  • Oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours and handle high-pressure situations in an interruptive environment
  • Available to work when needed, including weekends, holidays, and nights.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

 

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience preferred.
  • Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.
