America's third oldest horse racing track, the Fair Grounds has been a New Orleans staple since 1852. We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 15 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.

JOB SUMMARY

This position is responsible for all operations, technical, and administrative duties involving the HRM and video poker operations.  This position maintains the integrity of gaming data in Oasis, HRMs and reporting databases to effectively analyze and discuss slot game performance, HRM game performance and video poker game performance.  The position is centrally located at FGNO administrative offices to effectively collaborate regularly with floor operations, marketing, finance, and compliance, with the goal of maximizing game performance and floor optimization, customer growth and increased player value.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Safeguard the confidential information of all customers, team members, departments, and company records and assets.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve the performance and profitability of the FGNO Casino and OTB gaming floors.
  • Coordinate gaming system upgrades, installs and floor reorganizations of Slots, HRMs and Video poker.
  • Monitor Slot, HRM, and Video Poker performance and implement gaming equipment maintenance policies and procedures.
  • Review reports and statistical data for malfunctions or other problems and implementing appropriate maintenance and repair lists.
  • Review and analyze all gaming data for both OTB and FGNO.  Relate data to actual machine performance and recommend corrective action.
  • Make recommendations and enhancements to data systems as needed.
  • Insure the gaming product is aligned with current regulations and company internal policies and procedures.  Monitor legal compliance with federal, state, and gaming laws.
  • Maintain an effective training program for all gaming repair personnel.
  • Meet the attendance guidelines of the job and adhere to regulatory, departmental, and company policies to ensure compliance in all areas.
  • Conduct performance reviews, wage increases, and promotions relative to OTBS.
  • Recommend disciplinary action for Video Poker and OTBs.
  • Supervise and monitor work at Video Poker and HRM operations.
  • Position may require travel, as needed.  This is estimated to be 15% travel.
  • Perform all other duties, as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree or technical degree with a minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience.  Knowledge of principles and processes for providing exemplary customer service.  Must possess the ability to read, analyze, and interpret common documentation.  Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Office/Casino environment; Subject to outdoor temperature; exposed to smoke, bright lights and noise at times. The work environment consists of very non-demanding surroundings with a low noise level but could include exposure to loud noises in conjunction with certain special events. Will occasionally work in extreme heat or cold conditions.
