We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.

JOB SUMMARY

Make sure the company remains within the state compliance requirements.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare, complete, and file various license applications, permits, insurance, CTR reports that are required by FGNO in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Serve as the organization's primary recordkeeper for licensing, regulatory filings, and compliance-related documentation.
  • Monitors and verifies proof of submission and payment of IRS taxes of the company and owners as required by regulatory law.
  • Play a lead role in preparing for and responding to Anti-Money Laundering (AML) audits, including documentation and coordination with internal teams.
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date inventory records for all vehicles across FGNO and the OTB network.
  • Manage and track all vehicle-related documentation, including keys, titles, registrations, and tags.
  • Coordinate with relevant staff to consolidate and secure vehicle records (e.g., collaborating with OTB GM for OTB inventory, utilizing existing insurance documentation compiled by Finance, etc.).
  • Facilitates regulatory compliance orientation training for new and existing team members in partnership with the Regulator Compliance Officer.
  • Coordinates and monitors the Warnings and Violations Report.
  • Updates, executes and distributes the monthly regulatory compliance monitoring report and the marketing promotion report.
  • Works in partnership with the Regulatory Compliance Officer and the Louisiana Enforcement Division and other regulatory and government agencies.
  • Prepares and coordinates the submission and distribution of the Quarterly Gaming Reports.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Gaming and Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission.

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

3 to 5 years of Compliance experience. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner. Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties. Ability to define problems collects data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Office/Casino environment; Subject to outdoor temperature; Exposed to smoke, bright lights and noise at times. The work environment consists of very non-demanding surroundings with a low noise level. Will occasionally work in extreme heat or cold conditions.
