JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the sale of daily race programs to guests while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining accurate financial transactions during live racing events. This is a seasonal position for the March race meet at Colonial Downs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sells daily race programs to guests during live race days.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external guests at all times.
- Demonstrates the #AddLife culture in all interactions with guests and Team Members.
- Assists guests with questions or concerns in a courteous and professional manner.
- Maintains accuracy in all financial transactions and is accountable for funds at assigned workstation.
- Projects a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- Maintains confidentiality of all privileged information in accordance with Company policy and state regulations.
- Resolves issues within the scope of authority and escalates concerns beyond that scope to the supervisor.
- Keeps supervisor informed of relevant activities or operational concerns.
- Attends required training sessions and meetings as scheduled.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Strong verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle cash and maintain accurate transaction records.
- Ability to resolve guest concerns in a professional and timely manner.
- Ability to work independently while also functioning as part of a team.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior customer service or sales experience preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Must be available to work all live race days.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Virginia Racing Commission racing license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
- The Team Member will be required to stand and walk for the duration of the shift.
- Frequent use of hands for handling race programs and cash transactions.
- Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout assigned areas.
- May be required to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.
- May be required to work long hours, including weekends and holidays, based on live racing schedules.
- Noise levels may vary from moderate to loud during live racing events.
