Calder Casino is a great place to work! As an IT Technician, you will be responsible for providing support to the casino for operating system requirements while providing quality customer service in a fast-paced environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The IT Technician is responsible for providing support to the casino for operating system requirements.

  • Sets up new hardware such as personal computers, printers, servers, etc.
  • Install and troubleshoot company approved software and web applications
  • Troubleshoot network-related connectivity issues
  • Provide quality customer service to our users through problem resolution and process demonstration
  • Educate users to reduce reoccurring issues
  • Ensure reported issues are documented in our ticketing system and then managed to closure
  • Manage system user logins and access
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Support Audio/Visual systems
  • Create and maintain technical documentation
  • Perform administrative tasks as required by local and corporate policy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Maintain a professional working relationship with all Team Members
  • Must display a positive and upbeat attitude
  • Ability to work in close proximity with co-workers
  • Ability to work at a very rapid pace and in an environment with shifting priorities
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the IT Department
  • Ability to solve IT related issues and provide Winning Experiences

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Casino experience a plus
  • Two years’ experience as an IT Technician, a degree in related field, or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred
  • Technical knowledge of Microsoft Windows OS (installation, configuration, and troubleshooting) required
  • Knowledge of Active Directory and current protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, etc.)
  • A+, Network+ certifications preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license
