ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Cash Operations Shift Manager is responsible for assisting the Director of Cash Operations in the successful operation of the cage.
- Monitor, direct, supervise and observe cage action in the overall casino operations for adherence to company policies and various regulatory requirements to safeguard the casino’s assets and funds.
- Responsible for guest service, relations, and arbitrate disputes to assure that our guests have a favorable gaming experience.
- Submit at the end of respective shifts, all reports deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the department.
- Assist Director of Cash Operations in preparation of reports and other administrative responsibilities as assigned.
- Review cage activities and promotions with the Director of Cash Operations.
- Maintain an updated knowledge of gaming laws/regulations and internal controls applicable to areas of responsibility.
- Review staffing levels to maintain budgeted level of employment. Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
- Development of Team Members, interviews, hiring and evaluations.
- Assign or make changes in assignments of Team Members on assigned shifts.
- Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests.
- Facilitate processes and programs to effectively control and reduce lost time injuries.
- Assure that required facilities and equipment are available, clean, and functioning properly.
- Establish and maintain effective channels of communication across the organization.
- Knowledgeable of Marketing Promotions and Casino events.
- May act as managerial representative on premises.
- Meet with departmental Directors and Managers as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Management abilities demonstrated in managing the cage profitability.
- Knowledge of federal, state, local government, and federal gaming laws.
- Adherence to Code of Conduct and all Calder Casino policies and procedures.
- Maintain and promote our business strategy.
- Maintain an open door policy for Team Members to allow open communication.
- Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the cage.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Minimum five years’ experience in cage operations and supervision with a 2-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience required.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a valid gaming license.
