Churchill Downs Racetrack (“CDRT”), the world’s most legendary racetrack, has been the home of The Kentucky Derby, the longest continually held annual sporting event in the United States, since 1875. Located in Louisville, CDRT features a series of themed race days during Derby Week, including the Kentucky Oaks, and conducts Thoroughbred horse racing during three race meets in the Spring, September and Fall. CDRT is located on 175 acres and has a one-mile dirt track, a 7/8-mile turf track, a stabling area, and provides seating for approximately 60,000 guests. JOB SUMMARY
The VIP Services Representative is a front line, customer service focused position that serves high volume wagering customers at Churchill Downs and on Twinspires.com. This representative should have basic knowledge of the thoroughbred racing industry and demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include, but are not limited to:
Provide exceptional customer service through developing and maintaining relationships with TSC Elite VIP members to determine their needs and communicate their input to Churchill Downs and Twinspires.com.
Works within the Player Tracking Database, Streamline, and other data platforms to facilitate customer needs for point redemptions, program distributions and player incentives.
Serves as a player host in the TSC Elite Gold Room at Churchill Downs, a room designated for customers who wager at least $100,000 or more during the course of the year either onsite or on Twinspires.com
Serve as an on-site customer service representative of Twinspires.com assisting with account creation, account maintenance, limit increases and other Twinspires.com issues that may arise.
Coordinate Kentucky Derby related activities with the Twinspires.com VIP team such as Derby week events or Twinspires.com Day at the Races.
Manage a customer list with targeted handle goals, identifying declining players or win back opportunities from other competitors.
Ensure the Champions Bar and Gold Room are ready each day for live racing with ample supply of programs, TVs on and tables properly set. Also coordinate with Levy Restaurants to provide outstanding service and food and beverage to customers.
Send tickets, assign seats and reserve tables for TSC Elite or Twinspires.com VIPs that visit Churchill Downs.
Assists in the coordination of contests and promotions that are geared toward TSC Elite Members and simulcast patrons.
Other duties as assigned.
