JOB SUMMARY

The Food and Beverage Supervisor is responsible for maintaining safe and effective flow of operations in the front of house. Plans, prioritize, produce and delegates daily operational and guest service requirements. The F&B Supervisor is a liaison to the F&B Manager in effectively training and developing of F&B Team members in operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage daily food and beverage shift operations consisting of food servers, bartenders, bar backs, host and beverage servers.
  • Assists the Food and Beverage manager with the development and improvement of menu items.
  • Ensures adherence to food and beverage safety regulations.
  • Monitor the flow of service and needs of bar, serving, and culinary staff to do their jobs effectively.
  • Adheres to control procedures for food costs and quality.
  • Verifies that all sanitation and nutrition practices are maintained by Food and Beverage staff.
  • Prepares written food requisition for supplies and food items for production in the workstation- inventory.
  • Assist in development of Team Members, conducts interviews, and participates in the selection, hiring, coaching, retention and termination process.
  • Manage scheduling and payroll for all Front of House staff.
  • Ensure the safety and security of Team Members and guests. Assists with implementing programs and processes to reduce loss time injuries.
  • Responsible for resolving guest complaints regarding food quality and service.
  • Must be able to provide excellent guest service.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Abilities demonstrated in handling the banquets and food outlet effectiveness to include kitchen staff and FOH staff.
  • Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel – create an environment of development and learning.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to assume responsibility relative to the performance of the department, work flexible hours and handle high-pressure deadlines.
  • Black Non-slip shoes required.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Ability to read, write, speak and understand recipes and communicate with other Team Members.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalence.
  • Three-year minimum experience in food preparation and food knowledge is preferred.
  • Prior experience in both front and back of house positions preferred.
  • Must be able to complete any classes or certifications required.
  • Able to obtain a valid Racing License.
