JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Director of Operations (the “Director”) provides leadership and strategic planning to all facets of the property’s operations. This position supports the General Manager and serves as a designated property leader on occasion. In addition, the successful candidate will have oversight of and direct reporting over Gaming. He/she reports to the General Manager and helps establish and maintain a culture of constant regulatory compliance, total service, maximized operations efficiency and profit, and guest and team member satisfaction.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Ultimately responsible for the development/management of the budgets and financial results for departments in the reporting line
- Provides department heads with guidance on the standards for hiring, training, performance management and corrective action processes.
- Ensures the safety and security of team members and guests. Manages processes and programs to effectively control and reduce lost time injuries.
- Reviews and monitors staffing levels so that this closely matches business needs/volume.
- Ensures compliance with all regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the property’s BSA Policy.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Maintains the highest standards of leadership, training and overall management while overseeing all aspects of the operation and the performance of the departments in the reporting line.
- Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Leads by example relative to exemplary customer service both internal and external.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the departments in the reporting line.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 7-10 years of management experience in gaming/hospitality operations.
- 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Significant experience and expertise in setting up and improving processes and property operations.
- Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
