Title:  Senior Director, Operations

JOB SUMMARY

The Senior Director of Operations (the “Director”) provides leadership and strategic planning to all facets of the property’s operations. This position supports the General Manager and serves as a designated property leader on occasion.  In addition, the successful candidate will have oversight of and direct reporting over Gaming. He/she reports to the General Manager and helps establish and maintain a culture of constant regulatory compliance, total service, maximized operations efficiency and profit, and guest and team member satisfaction.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Ultimately responsible for the development/management of the budgets and financial results for departments in the reporting line
• Provides department heads with guidance on the standards for hiring, training, performance management and corrective action processes. 
• Ensures the safety and security of team members and guests.  Manages processes and programs to effectively control and reduce lost time injuries.
• Reviews and monitors staffing levels so that this closely matches business needs/volume.
• Ensures compliance with all regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the property’s BSA Policy.
• Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Maintains the highest standards of leadership, training and overall management while overseeing all aspects of the operation and the performance of the departments in the reporting line.

• Leads by example relative to exemplary customer service both internal and external.
• Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the departments in the reporting line.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 7-10 years of management experience in gaming/hospitality operations.
• 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience is preferred.
• Significant experience and expertise in setting up and improving processes and property operations.
• Able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license
