JOB SUMMARY

The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Specialist is responsible for the hands-on execution, configuration, and optimization of email and SMS campaigns within Salesforce Marketing Cloud. This role builds and deploys templates, landing pages, automations, and customer journeys while managing data extensions, segmentation, subscriber models, and platform governance. The specialist supports testing, release execution, troubleshooting, and post-deployment validation to ensure timely, accurate campaign delivery. Additionally, this position monitors performance, maintains data integrity, and drives continuous improvement to enhance engagement and operational efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support the product vision and roadmap for Salesforce Marketing Cloud in alignment with business and marketing objectives
  • Partner with Marketing, CRM, Data, and Technology stakeholders to gather requirements and influence solution design
  • Translate business needs into user stories, acceptance criteria, and prioritized backlog items
  • Maintain and groom the Marketing Cloud backlog under the guidance of senior product and technology leaders
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog refinement, sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Support testing, release planning, and post-deployment validation
  • Assist with building and sending email and text communications
  • Configure, maintain, and optimize the Salesforce Marketing Cloud platform
  • Manage user accounts, roles, and permissions while enforcing security and governance best practices
  • Build and deploy email templates and landing pages using AMPscript, CloudPages, and HTML/CSS as needed
  • Manage data extensions, audience segmentation, and subscriber models
  • Set up and maintain automations using Automation Studio and Journey Builder
  • Troubleshoot campaign and platform issues, coordinating with technical and marketing teams as needed
  • Monitor system performance, data integrity, and automation health
  • Generate reports and dashboards to track platform usage and campaign effectiveness
  • Support and help lead email strategy across the customer lifecycle
  • Coordinate with creative teams on templates, dynamic content, landing pages, and A/B testing
  • Assist in managing campaign calendars and delivery timelines
  • Support deliverability best practices and audience targeting
  • Analyze campaign performance and report on key metrics and insights
  • Influence execution and continuous improvement across channels and stakeholders

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related discipline preferred
  • 2+ years of experience in a Salesforce Marketing Cloud role
  • Hands-on experience configuring and supporting Salesforce Marketing Cloud
  • Familiarity with AMPscript and CloudPages for dynamic content, personalization, and landing pages
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS for email and landing page development and troubleshooting
  • Understanding of digital marketing concepts including segmentation, personalization, automation, and lifecycle journeys
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical, marketing, and creative teams
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud certification (Email Specialist or Administrator preferred)
  • Experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Data Extensions
  • Basic knowledge of SQL for segmentation and analysis
  • Experience integrating Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM or other data platforms
  • Familiarity with privacy, consent management, and compliance requirements
  • Experience supporting marketing teams in a multi-brand or enterprise environment

  • This position requires extended periods of sitting while working at a computer and analyzing data

  • The employee may occasionally be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
  • The employee may be required to lift and/or move items up to 25 pounds
  • The role may require working extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs
  • The noise level in the work environment ranges from moderate to loud, particularly when on the gaming floor
  • The employee may be exposed to secondhand smoke while on the casino floor, subject to property regulations
