JOB SUMMARY
United Tote is a leading B2B technology and service provider for the pari-mutuel gaming industry, backed by the integrity and tradition of Churchill Downs, home of the world-famous Kentucky Derby. This role will act as the primary support for Central Operations projects and initiatives and guide teams through the project lifecycle. The ideal candidate will be a service-oriented, and ambitious individual, with proven planning and organizational skills. This position will be relied heavily upon to coordinate projects and continuous improvements in all areas of responsibility with a focus on enhancing productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as primary support for Central Operations initiatives/projects, attending to the minute details while staying attuned to the macro vision of business operations.
- Leads coordination efforts for assigned projects throughout the project lifecycle including project scope, schedule, resources, quality, costs and change.
- Maintains detailed project plans including milestones, tasks, and target/actual dates of completion.
- Revises project plans as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
- Schedules and conducts project meetings to include logistics, agendas, and meeting minutes.
- Prepares and submits project status reports to Central Operations leadership.
- Leads and drives completion of projects on time with limited supervision to support business goals.
- Keeps projects on track through document organization, detailed notes, and meeting cadence
- Plans, sets, and guides teams through meeting agendas
- Collaborates with team members throughout central operations to continuously improve existing processes and recurring projects.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Proven ability to manage projects or tasks
- Experience with successfully working across internal teams with competing priorities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated history for productive collaboration across varying departments.
- Self-motivated, self-sufficient, detail-oriented, and data-driven with impeccable time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Must be at least 18 years of age with a High School diploma or GED.
- Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time within the United States.
- Ability to obtain racing licenses as required by state law and pass a background check.
- Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree or Project Management Training, CAPM, or PMP
- Demonstrated experience with project management and process improvement.
- Passion and/or interest in the Horse racing industry
