JOB SUMMARY
The Maintenance Worker installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, physical structures, and pipe and electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Responds to and completes daily work order requests involving all aspects of maintenance.
• Performs weekly, monthly, semi-annual, annual and other preventative maintenance checks and procedures.
• Repairs furniture, fixtures, walls, ceilings, equipment and anything else that may require service.
• Understands the principles and operation of fire sprinkler systems.
• Performs small welding tasks as required throughout the facility.
• Responds to and assist with plumbing, electrical and other facility related incidents and needed.
• May be required to operate a pressure washer and provide required cleaning as needed.
• Responsibilities may include operating a forklift or aerial lift and passing the required training to do so.
• Will be required to participate in safety training and pass associated quizzes.
• Other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
• Must have a minimum of five (5) years of proven experience involving maintenance trades including but not limited to plumbing, carpentry, painting, masonry, electrical and other basic maintenance skills.
• Must have a minimum of three (3) years of proven experience in commercial facility maintenance, per the above.
• Have above average computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office, CMMS and IMS programs.
• Have experience using a MIG Welder.
• Have experience with dry fire sprinkler systems-operation and resetting.
• Must be able to work alone or with others in a team environment with little supervision.
• Must be a self-starter with the ability to make educated decisions.
• Must be able to operate maintenance equipment such as forklift, two-man lift, and various power tools.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• High School Diploma or GED is required. Additional education or training such as trade vocational school in maintenance subjects and certificates and other training records are a plus.
• Valid gaming license.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS
• The ability to regularly lift and/or move a minimum of ten (10) pounds, frequently lift and/or move twenty five (25) pounds and occasionally lift and/or move fifty (50) pounds.
• The ability to remain in a stationary position, move, traverse ascend/descend, position self to move, manipulate tools and equipment, and repetitively operate, use, inspect, place, detect, and position required equipment, resources or machinery.
