JOB SUMMARY

The Inventory Control Lead role is crucial for efficient and effective management of United Tote’s supply chain operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop, implement and manage policies and procedures related to purchasing and inventory control of United Tote inventory, within established Churchill Downs Inc. guidelines, with a goal to maximize efficiency and optimize the workflow.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and other internal / external partners to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels and track inventory movement to identify potential discrepancies, variances or issues.
  • Analyze inventory data and generate reports to provide insights and recommendations to Management on inventory control strategies and purchasing decisions.
  • Implement and manage day-to-day operation of Asset Panda inventory tracking application.
  • Manage regular cycle count program , initiate recounts when needed, and monitor the hardware inventory across customer’s sites.
  • Utilize, own and understand processes as they pertain to financial month-end activies.
  • Identify end of life equipment and collaborate with cross functional teams to determine replacements and process for eliminating the EOL equipment from the Field Operations.
  • Participate in various special events as business dictates.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to effectively analyze inventory data and identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ability to work independently and make informed decisions, while also collaborating effectively as part of a team.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and problem-solving skills to effectively prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office tools and inventory management software (Asset Panda knowledge a plus)
  • Ability to apply and maintain any required regulatory license(s)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration (preferred), Supply Chain Management or related field or combination of work experience.
  • 3-5 years of inventory control, warehouse and distribution experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Warehouse environment. Comfort working on your feet with exposure to heat, cold, noise, and dust while working around moving equipment.

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time is required for this role.
