JOB SUMMARY
The IT Technician is responsible for providing support to Derby City Gaming for operating system requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sets up new hardware such as personal computers, printers, servers, phones, etc.
- Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications
- Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documents
- Provides quality customer service to our users through problem resolution and process demonstration.
- Educates users to reduce recurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way.
- Provides onsite support for the gaming facility, including weekend and night-shift work.
- Administers server-based systems across all departments.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent internal and external guest service.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the IT department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Two to three years of experience as an IT Technician
- Degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred
- Valid Racing License
