JOB SUMMARY
The HR Business Partner oversees various HR programs, processes, and projects across the property. The HRBP will focus heavily on recruiting across all departments and partner with business operations leaders to fully understand business issues and how HR can best support achieving results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- In coordination with the department leaders, participate in the development of recruiting strategy for the entire organization.
- Overall responsibility for all HR functions for all departments, including employee relations, recruiting, selection and onboarding, implementation and administration of human resources programs and employment policies, personnel record-keeping, workforce development, and compliance with HR laws and regulations.
- Analyze talent acquisition processes and data to determine resources needed to recruit a more diverse workforce and support the Company’s cultural goals.
- Develop, create and oversee job posting content to ensure a consistent message is marketed to potential candidates.
- Advise and support business units on recruiting structure, hiring, and onboarding.
- Manage internet recruiting sites and recruiting systems, including ATS, while keeping current on recruiting resources to recommend other options for obtaining qualified candidates.
- Provide ongoing staffing and turnover metrics to Senior Management.
- Plans and manages community outreach to build our pipelines of talent, including building relationships with key community leaders
- Organize and attend on-site recruiting events at local colleges and other establishments as needed.
- Work with vendors such as LinkedIn, Casino Careers, and Indeed on their integration into our recruiting process.
- Maintain and update onboarding processes for each business unit as needed.
- Administrative duties may include assisting hiring managers with scheduling interviews and other duties as assigned.
- Acts as liaison between team members and management to answer questions or concerns regarding company policies, practices, and regulations.
- Resolves routine team member relations issues and complaints. Refers difficult or very complex issues to the Sr. HR Director as needed.
- Keeps management advised of potential problem areas and recommends/implements solutions as appropriate.
- Assists team members and managers regarding general issues pertaining to benefits, terminations, policy interpretation, and other HR products and deliverables.
- Assists with communicating changes to team members and conducting team member presentations.
- Participates in staff meetings and works to expand knowledge in all HR disciplines through on-the-job training, in-house training, self-study, and outside training as available.
- Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning onboarding, employment, team member relations, and terminations.
- Conducts and analyzes exit interview data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action, continuous improvement, and increased retention rates.
- Manages the employment and onboarding process, including the following: posting and distribution of open positions, assists with writing and placing advertisements, facilitation of pre-employment background screening, and assistance with onboarding, new team member orientation, and designated training.
- Assists in evaluating reports, decisions, and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, ideas, and procedures to improve the efficiency of the HR department and the services performed.
- Collaborate with other HR team members and leverage their expertise in delivering and implementing functional initiatives.
- Works as part of the HR Team to ensure excellence in service to our Team Members.
- Assists with Team Member Recognition programs and Team Member Events.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Ability to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity.
- Computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Experience with recruiting technology a plus.
- An extremely high sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
- The ability to independently manage multiple competing demands.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly responsive to both candidates and hiring managers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree with emphasis on Human Resources, Business or related fields.
- 3-5 years’ experience recruiting for all levels within an organization.
- Bi-lingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Experience in creating and executing diverse pipeline strategies and recruiting plans
- Ability to obtain a valid Racing License
