JOB SUMMARY
The Churchill Downs Race Track Ticket Operations Department has openings for seasonal Box Office Staff.. This position reports to the Box Office Manager and is responsible for assisting customers with gate admissions, selling, fulfillment, and distribution of venue tickets. The Attendant will be stationed in the Box Office, customer facing selling Admission tickets into the venue.
Positions are available for:
• September Meet Sept. 11th-20th
As well as the Fall Meet October 26th-November 30th.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as a box office sales team member, assisting all walk up sales at the gates and box office window.
· Serve as an admissions gate team member by assisting all patrons to enter the facility gates and reviewing the status of scanned tickets as necessary.
· Accepts payments and makes change accurately.
· Keeps daily balance sheet of cash received and tickets sold; submits cash to Box Office Manager for audit.
· Work to ensure customer's needs are fulfilled and ensure the customer receives outstanding service while assisting with general venue and event information.
· Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
High School Diploma/GED required.
· Must be at least 18 years of age.
· Ticketmaster Archtics system knowledge is preferred.
· Attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, as well as demonstrated professionalism and diplomacy.
· Ability to exercise sound business judgment generating effective solutions quickly and/or raising issues to management as necessary.
· Team player with an exceptional customer service attitude.
· Strong PC and mathematic skills.
· Must be able to work flexible hours including some holidays, weekends, evenings, and race days.
· This position requires completion of a background check.
