JOB SUMMARY
The Gaming Shift Manager is responsible for assisting with the successful daily operations of the Gaming Department and maintaining a high standard of customer service with our front of the house associates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assists in the development of team members, conduct interviews and participates in the selection, hiring, coaching, retention, and termination process.
- Addresses escalated guest and team member concerns and inquiries as needed.
- Responsible for guest service, relations, and disputes.
- Knowledgeable of Marketing Promotions and Gaming Facility events.
- Monitor, direct, supervise, and observe gaming action in the overall gaming facility operations for adherence to company policies and various regulatory requirements.
- Approve and verify historical racing machine payouts and fills.
- Perform jackpot payouts and fills.
- May act as Managerial Representative on Premises.
- May conduct fund exchanges for guests during an emergency situation or as deemed necessary by management.
- Maintain up to date knowledge of Gaming Laws/Regulations and internal controls applicable to areas of responsibility.
- Safeguard gaming assets
- Meet with Departmental Directors and managers as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and the property’s BSA policy.
- Monitor for suspicious transactions as defined by the BSA.
- All other duties as assigned
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Management abilities demonstrated in assisting with managing the gaming operation effectiveness.
- Promotes positive customer relations, greets customers and creates a friendly atmosphere.
- Ensure the safety and security of team members and guests.
- Maintaining interpersonal working relationships among all personnel and support departments.
- Creative problem solving and resolution management.
- Adherence to state gaming regulations.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the department, work flexible hours and handle high- pressure deadlines.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 3-5 years of experience within the gaming industry required
- 4-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience preferred.
- 1 year of experience managing personnel.
- Ability to obtain a valid Racing License
COMPENSATION DATA
This position is salary exempt with annual compensation of $55,000.00.
