JOB SUMMARY
The Director of Treasury is responsible for overseeing all aspects of day-to-day banking services for CDI and its subsidiary properties. The role collaborates closely with the Senior Director of Treasury (“SDT”) to support management of the corporate debt facility and enterprise-wide merchant processing function. The Director is also responsible for daily cash positioning for a segmented subsidiary and provides additional support to the VP of FP&A and Treasury and the SDT in broader treasury-related functions as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee all aspects of Treasury Operations (e.g., wire transfer, ACH, vault services, documentation), either directly and through oversight of the Treasury Manager
- Ensure security of banking activity using fraud protection products, monitoring tools, and strict vetting of bank settlement instructions
- Lead the process of opening and closing bank accounts; ensure signature cards are current and documentation is properly executed and maintained
- Primary contact with bank client support representatives for operational issues
- Acts as co-administrator for banking portals
- Acts as backup wire transfer, ACH batch, and template approver within predefined limits
- Maintain payment approval matrix in compliance with audit guidelines
- Support other departments and serve as liaison to CDI subsidiaries to resolve banking issues and meet operational needs
- Responsible for daily cash position of affiliate cash management
- Acts as backup to the SDT for the CDI daily cash position calculation
- Work with SDT to manage the corporate debt calendar, ensuring timely and accurate loan notifications and interest payments on revolver and term loans
- Prepare assigned segments of the quarterly covenant certificate and related reports
- Perform stand-alone capital expenditure cash flow analysis for inclusion in covenant certificate
- Calculate and book capitalized interest, debt expense accruals, and other close-related entries
- Review and provide guidance to Treasury Manager on month-end journal entries and reconciliations
- Collaborate with SDT on merchant processing administration, including MID creation, maintenance, and issue resolution
- Evaluate potential new banking products (e.g., Integrated Payables, ACH Verification)
- Lead implementation and ongoing administration of approved solutions
- Serve as administrator of the Rabbi Trust—managing cash flow, COLI values, banking contacts, and liaison responsibilities with the Investment Committee
- Assist SDT with due diligence, evaluation, and integration for acquisitions and greenfield projects
- Provide support to VP of FP&A and Treasury and SDT for additional treasury responsibilities as needed
EDUCATION
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required (basic accounting experience preferred)
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP)
EXPERIENCE
- 6-8+ years in Treasury or related experience
SKILLS
- Strong work ethic, highly reliable, accountable and ability to cultive working relationships throughout the organization
- Ability to set goals, manage timetables, and meet competing deadlines
- Extensive knowledge of banking products, documentation, and regulations
- Sound technical skills, analytical ability, good judgment, and operational focus
- Experience with SAP S4/HANA highly preferred.
- Strong MS Excel spreadsheet knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills including written and oral communications.
- Exceptionally detail oriented, professional attitude, strong organization and time management skills.
- Ability to be independent and thorough in examination and analysis
