JOB SUMMARY
The Count Team Supervisor, along with or in the absence of the Count Room Manager, is responsible for ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the drop process and count room in accordance with gaming regulations and accounting procedures. This position will be assigned to the Poplar Level and Downtown location based on business needs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee the efficient operation of the drop and count room, ensuring seamless coordination of processes and staff.
- Maintain a structured and compliant drop and count process in accordance with gaming regulations.
- Ensure strict adherence to count room procedures, safeguarding financial integrity.
- Prepare and manage financial reports, documentation, and the security of sensitive information.
- Enforce internal controls for all accounting and cash-handling activities.
- Delegate tasks and assign responsibilities to optimize team performance.
- Ensure staff receive comprehensive training in all count team responsibilities, including counting, sorting, strapping, racking, transporting, and recording funds.
- Operate computers and currency-processing machines efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and secure count room environment.
- Accurately manage and update count room data and records.
- Regularly review and update policies and procedures related to the drop and count process.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of count team operations.
- Manage supply orders and ensure timely procurement through the Count Room Manager.
- Collaborate with the Count Room Manager to review and improve count room activities.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Management abilities demonstrated in effectively managing the count room and Count Team Attendants.
- Maintaining a professional working relationship among all personnel.
- Ability to work in a close proximity environment with co-workers.
- Ability to work at a very rapid pace.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the count room.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (finance, accounting, business) preferred, or equivalent work experience.
- Two to five years of experience in casino finance, banking, or a similar financial environment.
- At least one year of hands-on experience operating a currency counting machine.
