JOB SUMMARY
The Assistant Money Room Manager is responsible for assisting with the daily cash handling activities of the Money Room, as directed by the Money Room Manager and Director of Cash Operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assisting with protecting and preserving the money room assets, including accounting for, documenting, and verifying the accuracy of all incoming and outgoing currency.
- Prepare Dealer bankrolls, assist with the supervision of the daily count, and verify returning dealer funds daily, among other assigned duties.
- Assists with the reconciliation and balancing functions daily including the preparation of the Money Room Balancing workbook.
- Assist with preparing the daily bank deposits.
- Understand and efficiently operate count machines used in the money room.
- Assist in the cash pickup and drop off for offsite properties, including any satellite locations that offer pari-mutuel wagering under the Company’s state license.
- Works with the Pari-Mutuel Department to train full-time, part-time and seasonal Team Members for Money Room operations throughout the year, including Kentucky Derby week.
- Adheres to all company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Oral and written communication skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- One to Three years experience in money room, casino cage operations, or relevant banking preferred.
- 4-year degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
- One or more years of leadership experience preferred.
- Proficient with excel.
- Ability to obtain a valid Kentucky Racing License
