We are a premiere entertainment venue presenting thoroughbred & exotic animal races, slots, video poker and simulcasting year-round. Located in New Orleans, Fair Grounds operates a slot-machine gaming facility and 13 off-track betting parlors throughout southeast Louisiana.
JOB SUMMARY
Under the direct VSI General Manage, this position administers the operation of key company support systems. Insures all repair and replacement of gaming devices installed at operational locations comply with company and State gaming rules and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Assists in the preparation and maintenance of the VSI Service Standard Operating Procedures to ensure compliance with company policy and gaming regulations.
2. Manages Technicians and any functions related to performance management (i.e. annual reviews, disciplinary notices, etc.).
3. Coordinates the Brightly work order tracking system to ensure productivity and maintenance goals are being properly managed.
4. Coordinates VSI Service personnel in day-to-day service operations; prepares daily work schedules, meets with personnel to discuss problems, needs, or scheduling requests.
5. Reviews, daily, the Location Service Reports from the previous day; discusses with the appropriate personnel any problems that have occurred.
6. Communicates to the General Manager of any changes and/or problems encountered at VSI locations and assists in scheduling that service.
7. Assists GM and OPS Managers with insuring that VSI locations receive prompt service by scheduling routine service.
8. Oversees and assists with manufacture modifications, updates, and new equipment installation for all VSI locations.
9. Oversees and assists in performing building maintenance for VSI central office.
10. Assists in maintaining maintenance files for maintenance and repair of VSI service vehicles.
11. Coordinates and oversees repairs and/or replacement of machine components at locations; advises General Manager of any problems encountered.
12. Oversees and assists in repair, maintenance, and installation of all equipment used by VSI to include, but not limited to, ILinks, Surveillance equipment, machines, and maintaining files of service completed on equipment.
13. Oversees the maintenance of HVAC and refrigeration equipment at all OTB locations.
14. Coordinates capital projects related to building maintenance, surveillance, TVs, TV head ends and audio equipment at the OTBs.
15. Administers and maintains the function of the VSI computer network (video poker maintenance and related equipment).
16. Ensures for daily and weekly backup of mission critical data.
17. Maintain password records for all password protected computer equipment.
18. Train all employees on software and hardware systems and maintain documentation on same
19. Uses GPS tracking software to ensure Technicians are in designated routes and use of vehicle is within safety standards.
20. Maintains service fleet (tires, oil, etc.) along with titles, registration and insurance cards.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; conveying complaints and problems to the General Manager. Supervises the administration of all company networking and computer equipment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Technical school diploma with an emphasis on electronic repair; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Machines, Tools, Equipment, Electronic Devices, and Software: The machines, tools, equipment, electronic devices, and software listed below are representative of those that must be utilized to perform the essential functions of this job:

Utilizes a variety of electronic meter and gauges for analysis and repair of video, board level and video poker machine repair. Computer skills are required along with 1-3 years’ minimum management experience.
Licenses/Certificates: Must be 21 years or older. Must be able to obtain a Racing License from Louisiana Racing Commission along with a Video Poker Tech II license.
