An Ellis Park Custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean environment for all Ellis Park guests and team members through consistent and thorough cleaning practices and the application of various commercial cleaning chemicals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform custodial duties such as vacuuming, scrubbing, mopping and sweeping.

Dispose of trash and change trash bags.

Clean ash trays.

Clean restrooms including toilets/urinals, countertops and refill dispensers.

Clean gaming machines and chairs.

Clean windows, mirrors, walls doors and other furnishings.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Relevant work experience preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid license through the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Requires the ability to balance/climb, bend over, crawl, crouch/stoop, hear, kneel, reach overhead, sit, stand, talk, turn/twist and repetitively use hands 51-100% of the time.
  • Requires the ability to push/pull, carry, lift and slide/transfer 1-25 lbs. 51-100% of the time.
  • Requires the ability to push/pull, lift and slide transfer 25-50+ lbs. 1-24% of the time.
  • Must be able to work in smoking environment
