JOB SUMMARY
The Senior IT Technician will act as a lead in the absence of the IT Director and is responsible for providing support to Harlow’s Casino Resort & Spa for operating system requirements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sets up new hardware such as personal computers, printers, servers, etc.
- Installs and troubleshoots company approved software and web applications
- Assists with programming copiers for scanning and emailing documents
- Provides quality customer service to our users through problem resolution and process demonstration.
- Educates users to reduce reoccurring issues by offering solutions to problems in a proactive way.
- Provides onsite weekend support for the gaming facility.
- Administers file backup systems.
- Creates and maintains technical documentation.
- Performs related duties or special projects as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume responsibility relative to IT.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the IT department.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Two to three years of experience as an IT Technician or degree in related field or equivalent combination of work experience and education is preferred
- Able to obtain a valid gaming license for a regulatory body
