JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Casino Service Representative to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for receiving and paying out money, cashing checks, exchanging chips, and maintaining an accurate cash drawer balance. As a part of our energetic and passionate team, you'll play a key role in delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced casino environment.

 
 
 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Receiving and paying out money accurately to customers and employees.

  • Exchanging chips, tokens, or tickets for cash.

  • Cashing checks and processing credit card transactions.

  • Managing electronic funds transfers.

  • Maintaining detailed records of all transactions for audit purposes.

  • Preparing daily reconciliations and balance sheets.

  • Logging any discrepancies and reporting them to management.

  • Counting, balancing, and securing cash drawers at the beginning and end of each shift.

  • Handling large sums of money and ensuring compliance with cash-handling policies.

  • Providing courteous and professional assistance to patrons regarding transactions and inquiries.

  • Resolving customer issues or escalating them to a supervisor if needed.

  • Adhering to state and federal gaming regulations.

  • Following internal control procedures to prevent fraud or errors.

  • Reporting any suspicious activity in accordance with company policies.

  • Assisting with inventory counts of cash, chips, and other negotiables.

  • Operating cash registers, currency counters, and computerized systems efficiently.

  • Familiarity with gaming software and transaction monitoring systems.

  • Collaborating with other departments to facilitate transactions or resolve discrepancies.

  • Mathematical Proficiency: Strong numerical skills to handle large sums of money accurately.

  • Cash Handling Expertise: Experience in managing and balancing cash drawers or registers.

  • Computer Literacy: Familiarity with cashier systems, gaming software, and electronic transaction tools.

  • Attention to Detail: Ability to identify discrepancies and maintain accurate records.

  • Interpersonal Communication: Strong verbal communication and active listening skills to interact professionally with patrons and team members.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or GED: Most casinos require at least a high school diploma or equivalent as a baseline qualification.
  • Associate's Degree or Higher (Optional): A degree in finance, accounting, or business administration may be preferred but is not typically required.
  • Cash Handling Experience: Previous on-the-job training or experience in cash handling can substitute for formal education in some cases.

  • Knowledge of Gaming Regulations: Some casinos may provide or require training in local, state, and federal gaming laws.

  • Computer Skills: Familiarity with point-of-sale systems, cashiering software, or basic computer operation is often necessary.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.

  • Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in handling money, chips, and documentation quickly and accurately.
