JOB SUMMARY

Provides administrative support to the facilities team by managing multiple tasks simultaneously, keeping files, material and information organized; and meeting deadlines. Excellent people skills, an aptitude for detail and good communication skills are a must. Always presents a friendly and professional image at the casino.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implements office administrative procedures and practices.
  • Types and reviews correspondence, reports and other material from rough or advanced draft using computer.
  • Obtains data and/or research information for assigned projects.
  • File and retrieves information from manual and/or computer automated files according to established office procedures.
  • Receives telephone calls and visitors, determines nature of calls and visitor requests and directs to appropriate staff or provides information on routine matters.
  • Sorts, distributes and opens mail, prepares rough drafts for outgoing mail and sends and retrieves FAX documents.
  • Photocopies and assembles materials for distribution.
  • Runs errands and/or delivers documents to specific locations.
  • Schedules and confirms appointments, coordinates location and assembles necessary documents.
  • Maintains adequate inventory of supply; ensures that office equipment is in proper working order.
  • Maintains security of sensitive documents.
  • Organizational and administrative support of special projects.
  • Responsible for Quality Control/Quality Assurance, maintains and provides status updates on active projects.

  

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Ability to perform normal mathematical computations in regard to the implementation of current duties Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.  Ability to interpret an extensive variety of instructions and deal with several variables.

Must have the ability to obtain a Work Permit issued by the Mississippi Gaming Commission.  Must have a Valid Driver’s License.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent

One (1) year of experience in an increasingly responsible position in an office/clerical position. Proficient in MS Office (Excel/Word). Ability to read, analyze and interpret common documentation. Ability to respond to common inquiries from team members, regulatory agencies or members of the staff. Ability to write and present information to management in a reasonable manner.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS

The work environment consists of very non-demanding surroundings with a moderate to high noise level.
