JOB SUMMARY

The Security Shift Manager is responsible for overseeing the activities of the security shift which provides safety and protects all patrons, employees and company assets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety and security of employees and customers. 
  • Supervise programs and processes to reduce and control loss time injuries.
  • Delegate authority and assign responsibilities.
  • Development of staff, evaluating and training by designing training programs.
  • Assist with interviewing and selection.
  • Investigate incidents and/or customer complaints, compiling data for accurate reporting.
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed and monitored during the shift.
  • Meet with Directors and Managers as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Management abilities demonstrated in managing security operational effectiveness.
  • Maintain interpersonal working relationship among all personnel.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of the Emergency Disaster Plan Manual.
  • Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of shift.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Two to five years’ experience as a security guard or law enforcement agent with a 2-year degree in related fields or equivalent work experience is preferred.
  • Valid Racing License
