Title: Procurement & Materials Manager

The Procurement & Materials Manager is responsible for the purchasing/receiving team/operation and accountable for supply inventory needed for all departments. This individual in this role ensures controls are in place to comply with processes as stated in the Corporate SOPs.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops and manages the budget for the Purchasing and Receiving team/operation.
- Provides direction and/or assistance on navigating CDI’s procurement/purchasing processes and standards for goods/services used on property.
- Assists and advises department leaders on purchasing/procurement decisions for goods/services, focusing on attaining best value for money.
- Leads all negotiations with vendors/providers steering the effort to secure deals that are in the best interest of the property and/or enterprise.
- Responsible for the stocking and requisitioning process of items inventoried by Finance/Warehouse, where applicable.
- Property representative for all requisition, purchase order and invoice approval systems used by the enterprise, with responsibility for minor trouble-shooting and training of new hires and existing team members when necessary.
- Prepares RFPs and is the first reviewer of all proposals received.
- Weekly review of open purchase orders and items received-not-paid, and works with leaders, receiving team and AP to address any concerns.
- Supports the Finance team on the month-end close processes including but not limited to accruals.
- Supports the Finance team in tracking and managing progress/expenses related to projects including but not limited to capital projects.
- Responsible for implementing and managing a preventative maintenance program for some appliances, machinery and equipment.
- Responsible for compliance to Corporate contracts/agreements, SOPs, and product specifications.
- May be asked to operate a company vehicle and/or equipment that requires a valid Driver’s License.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Management abilities demonstrated in managing the Purchasing department’s operational effectiveness.
- Maintaining interpersonal working relationship internally and externally.
- Excellent Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of the Purchasing/Receiving operation.
EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE
- 5 - 7 years of experience in purchasing and receiving and inventory control with a 4-year degree preferred in related fields or equivalent work experience is preferred.
- Valid gaming license.
