JOB SUMMARY

Bring precision and passion to race day!
This role plays a key part in live racing operations—determining order of finish, managing entries and official programs, tracking workouts and foal papers, and supporting pre-race and post-race activities. You’ll work closely with the Racing Department, generate reports, ensure regulatory compliance, and help keep every race day running smoothly. Ideal for an experienced racing professional who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment and is flexible to meet the demands of live racing.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Candidate must determine order of finish for all horses in race, Add/delete horses on all lists via computer, daily record of incoming and outgoing foal papers, report generating, assist in pre-race day scratching of horses, enter horse entries, complete official program indicating finish of horses, track conditions, handle and track attendance for each race day. 

 

Candidate may be responsible for the clocking of horse(s) during morning workouts on an as-needed basis.  Candidate will send workout results to Equibase and verify all horses have a workout within the past 60 days. 

 

Candidate will contribute to the Racing Department team by overseeing and accomplishing all other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Candidate will have or gain knowledge of rules and regulations of thoroughbred horse racing.  Candidate must also have knowledge of the PA Rules of Racing.  Must be able to work flexible hours.  Candidate is required to be able to obtain/maintain a Pennsylvania Racing License.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or equivalent and 5 years experience in thoroughbred racing.  Computer experience required.  Racing office experience required.
